New Velocity CineMagix Media Centers Feature HDTV Tuners and Vista.

Velocity Micro announced today the CineMagix Grand Theater and the CineMagix Pro Cinema media center PCs, which ship with AMD’s HDTV tuners, a large storage space and Microsoft’s Windows Vista with Digital Cable support.

The CineMagix Grand Theater is Intel Core 2 Duo/Extreme/Quad-based with Intel D975XBX2LKR Bad Axe II motherboard and up to 2.25 terabytes of hard drive storage. It’s graphics is powered by NVIDIA’s GeForce with DirectX 10 support. The CineMagix Grand Theater is priced starting at $2195.

The Velocity CineMagix Pro Cinema uses AMD’s dual core Athlon processors and Asus M2N32 SLI Deluxe motherboard, has a maximum of 1.5TB of storage and incorporates ATI Radeon DirectX 10 graphics. The base CineMagix Pro Cinema configuration costs $1695.

The CineMagix Grand Theater and Pro Cinema feature the groundbreaking internal AMD TV Wonder Digital Cable Tuner, allowing users to watch and record HD digital cable content on their PCs for the first time. The new media centers also feature Blue-ray and HD-DVD playback for the highest resolution, home cinema quality playback available. Gamers can enjoy first class DirectX 10 graphics from NVIDIA and AMD, setting the stage for the next generation of games, and play games on HDTVs from the comfort of their couch”, the Velocity Micro’s press release says.


Both media centers come with up to 4GB of main memory. You can use up to two HDTV tuners in each CineMagix Pro Cinema and Grand Theater PC.
