(September 2006)
Designed
specially for the Chinese market, the Sony Ericsson W958 phone is a GSM/GPRS
phone with a big 2.6" screen for easier navigation of your playlists and
albums. Based on the UIQ3 and Symbian OS v9.1, the W958 features some of the
best features on a smartphone.
The W958 comes with 4GB of flash memory - that's good enough for close to
4,000 songs. And expect to see some blazing transfer speeds on this baby:
1GB of media in 3 minutes is what we're talking about. Visual searching of
songs is made easier by browsing through downloaded album covers.
Configured for PlayNow 3.0 music download service (featuring Sony BMG
artists), the phone easily handles multitasking - so you can check emails
while listening to your favorite songs. Dedicated music access keys enhance
the Walkman features on the W958.
Sony Ericsson has included Opera 8.0 (mobile version) on the W958 for an
enhanced web browsing experience. Bluetooth and Infrared are available as
well. You can download a plethora of readily available applications for
Symbian OS as well, including 3D games.
