Philips Unveils World’s First LED Replacement for Most Common Household Light Bulb.

The new LED light bulb uses only 12 watts of power while delivering an industry benchmark of 806 lumens and has a rated life of 25,000 hours.

Philips’ EnduraLED light bulb will be released in Q4 2010. Pricing has not been finalized.

  1. Efficient lighting is needed for sustainable architecture. A 13 watt LED lamp produces 450 to 650 lumens . which is equivalent to a standard 40 watt incandescent bulb . A standard 40 W incandescent bulb has an expected lifespan of 1,000 hours while an LED can continue to operate with reduced efficiency for more than 50,000 hours, 50 times longer than the incandescent bulb.

    I merely wanted to leave a simple comment to state that your website was good. I stumbled upon it on yahoo lookup right after dealing with loads of other information that’s not really relevant. I think I’d find this much earlier considering how great the info is.
