LAN Instant Messenger for business communications
Corporate instant messaging client for use in a business local area network
(LAN) with a set of enhanced features including standard software
compatibility such as WinPopup and Messenger Service (Net Send command),
group messaging, automatic answering machine, message history, file
transfer. Real-time communications can be organized with Peer-to-Peer or
Client/Server instant messaging architecture.
Using a central server users get powerful facilities for organization of
effective communication system with news notification, centralized user
grouping, offline message storing and automatic delivery, creation and
management of public user information, receiving account list with user
presence status.
Key features of Bopup Messenger :
User-friendly interface
Sending and reception of instant messages are organized in the different
windows. This lets open a several conversation dialogs and read and send
messages to multiple users at one time.
"Scanning of users, computers and presence status in all domains/workgroups
on a local network"
You can scan your network in order to get a list of all users, computers
with presence status and domains/workgroups. It makes messaging more faster
and allows to select user or computer from the list.
"Receiving news messages"
If you use Bopup Communication Server you can receive news messages, sent by
news system on the server. Administrator can create news messages and
specify time, date, priority and recipient list.
"Exchanging offline messages"
Use of Bopup Communication Server makes possible to send messages even if
recipient is currently not available on a local network. You can also
receive all offline messages that were sent to you when you was offline.
"Quick sending messages in Network Neighborhood folder with the
Point-and-Click method".
Bopup Messenger adds new menu item "Message..." to Windows Explorer context
menu in "Network Neighborhood". When you select this menu item,
Bopup Messenger opens a sending message dialog, where a recipient name will
already include a computer name, which you clicked on.
"Multilingual interface"
The Language Pack technology saves user from looking for new versions of the
program, translated into other foreign languages. Language Packs allow to
quickly and easy localize Bopup Messenger into other language with the
several motions of your mouse. All supported language packs are available in
our Download Center.
"Viewing account information on computer, user or received message"
This function allows to view account information on incoming message, user
or computer, such as account (logon) name, user full name, title,
department, contant details and also advanced information including,
computer and domain/workgroup names, MAC (network adapter number), IP
addresses.
You can create and modify your own account information that is available to
other users on a local network. Note that account management is available
only if you use Bopup Communication Server. Otherwise you can be able to
view advanced details only.
You can also view account information from the sending dialog. Double-click
on computer/user name from the list or right-click and choose "Account
information...".
"Quick, direct access list to the users you talk to most"
Quick List may include user, computer, Network and My Groups names, which
are frequently attached by messages. Use of Quick List saves from typing a
recipient name every time and allows to select it from the list in the
sending dialog, that makes messaging more useful and faster.
"Ignore List, which blocks messages from the users added to this list"
Use of Ignore List lets to do not receive messages from those users and
computers which are currently added to you Ignore List.
"Group support for different groups within the same LAN"
Network Groups are common names on a local network, supported by Bopup
Messenger,
Bopup Observer and Bopup Secure Messenger. Using Network Groups users can
send messages to all users which are currently assigned to specified Network
Group.
If you use Bopup Communication Server you receive Network Group list that is
assigned you by system administrator.
"Automatic answering system for when you are not at your PC"
This function allows to automatically reply to all incoming messages. It is
a very usefully if you are not present at the office or workplace.
"Quick Answers list"
Quick Answers list includes phrases up to 255 characters in length, that
frequently used as answers to incoming messages. The answers list function
saves you from typing answers each time and allows to choose it on the
toolbar menu near "Answer" button in the main window of the Bopup Messenger.
"Message History"
You can save all your conversation to Message History and view it in the
Message History viewer.
"Sending messages from command line interface"
Bopup Messenger allows to send messages from command line interface. This
ability lets use Bopup Messenger in different batch and startup files. You
can specify My/Network Group names, users, computers, domains/workgroups
names and IP addresses.
