#1 Sound Recorder is a sound recording program. You can use it to grab any sound, including music, dialogs from movies, game sounds etc. from your local computer or the internet.

Captured sounds can be saved in WAV or MP3 format, using real-time conversion (without creating temporary files). The program offers direct support for RealPlayer, Winamp, Windows Media Player ,Power DVD ,Flash, Quick time and many others. It also includes a built in WAV/MP3 player, so you can listen to your recordings immediately after you finished recording.

Powerful functions
#1 Sound Recorder can record any signal played through your sound card into Mp3 or WAV files. It also can convert from wav files to mp3 files.

Recording management
The Resulting File list box lets you manage your file recording easily. You can set the recording information and edit the resulting file with a simple mouse click on the list box.

Sampling settings
#1 Sound Recorder supports Sampling settings. To get higher quality recording, you can set the Sample rate, Mono or Stereo, and the Sample Bit, before recording. With its powerful sound engine, Recorder produces recordings with CD quality.

Flexible setting
#1 Sound Recorder is able to automatically detect the recording formats your sound card supports and then set the application's parameters for the best possible performance. The default parameters work in most cases, but you can change them easily to best suit your needs.

Audio Conversion
Don't worry about high quality recording taking a great deal of disk space. #1 Sound Recorder can convert wave-file format into Mp3-file format, which will reduce the file size by a factor of about 10.

Record volume control
#1 Sound Recorder integrates the complete set of record volume control for your convenience.
Supports Hotkeys
There are a number of hotkeys which allow you to control the recording functions of #1 Sound Recorder while you are working in other programs.
